Valve Etcher
This machine etches the part number onto the stem of an engine valve. Before the valve is etched, however, it is gauged to make sure that the stem diameter is not too large. If the gauge test fails the valve is not etched and the machine directs it to a reject chute. The interface panel makes changeover a snap. Note the two yellow vertical bars, they produce a light curtain and serve as the guards for the machine. If any part of the light curtain is broken the machine shuts down.
All of the labeling and wiring on this machine was done the way the customer specified. Click the picture to see the larger version and note how visually appealing the box looks. Also note that the machine is easily upgradable, we run extra wires to junction boxes and have blank valve bases on the valve stack.
