This machine applied hot glue to the inside and outside surfaces of air filters. The pleats on the air filters were very long so over time they would vibrate and the abrasive dirt and grit would eventually wear through. The glue is applied to keep the pleats from moving. Also a laser etching station was added to lable the filters as they were moved through the machine by a walking beam. The motion of the glue dispensing arms is all servo controlled. |
