Cybersmith developed the first servo controlled machines of this type in 1996. This machine has servo operated first and second operation rollers and a servo powered infeed unit. This single spindle machine can be changed over from 3.0 inch diameter to 5.3 inch diameter filters in less than 10 minutes. This machine is capable of producing about 35 parts per minute. We worked closely with the customer to develop seam roll profiles to achieve the best double lock seam that will withstand pressure fatigue specifications. Extensive programming of the operator interface allows quick and accurate changeovers and small changes within "canned programs" to accommodate part variations that can occur from run to run. |
