This is the flanging mechanism. A piece of sheet metal that has been rolled and seamed down the middle is placed into the trough. There is another station just like the one in the picture on the other end. Once the part is in place the operator activates the cycle with two palm buttons. The machine spins the part one revolution making a flange on both ends. The part is now ready to go to the next stage and have ends seamed on. Here is the flanger ready for shipment. |
